Friend at school: "Can you hook me up with some visual novels?"
Me: "Okay, just give me your laptop at lunch break."
So we both eat lunch quick and I take his laptop into the corner of our common room with him in tow. I set to work on trying to crack these perfectly illegally obtained Visual novels. The first couple go off without a hitch but the last one is stubborn, the installer both is in Japanese and hates windows 8.
I decide I need to download an english patch so I go online in search but unfortunatly the schools wifi blocks all forums and message boards. I then go on to use a proxy to read up on it but it seems the english patch does not affect the installer.
Another idea, run the setup via applocale in english. I try it but I cant install applocale on windows 8. Decide it's time to look damn cool. Move the applocale installer to D: and then go into command prompt (Alt+Enter for dramatic effect).
There is a small crowd gathering around me at this point. I run the applocale installer through command prompt and then go for a "dir /s" for even more dramatic effect.
After Applocale installs I then go on to try and run the setup in english. No dice. Run's applocale in compatibility mode and it works. Game installs, everyone now thinks I know lots about computers.
Today was a good day.

Nice one dude
Lol, hacked our school computers, now I'm the admin and the teachers is the restricted one's. When I did that, I also had a small crowd, all going like "He's hacking!!" and I sat there and felt like the king of the school

For my current course I have to create a "ghost"-bot to infiltrate a botnet to be able to send your own commands to other bots and eventually take them down. This botnet consists of a fake host and multiple fake bots, and we have to connect our bots to it. So far it's only me who has succesfully infiltrated some bots, but when I checked today it turns out I've taken control over 3 other students their bots . Even though our own bots are modified in a way that we won't take any commands, I have accidentally found a way to make them actually execute the commands . (No I'm not such a big genius that I have done this on purpose). I hope my professor appreciates this

Look at you, hacker: a pathetic creature of meat and bone; panting and sweating as you run through my corridors... How can you challenge a perfect, immortal machine?
