On rooting, if you don't have

On rooting, if you don't have a need for it then don't. It can be potentially risky. It's basically hacking into the phone to allow you to get more bespoke functionality. If you're happy with the phone now then there's no need to root.

Keep in mind that rooting

Keep in mind that rooting will often require you to wipe your phone, so I always do it as soon as I get my phone, so I won't have to reinstall everything. For Office: QuickOffice works very good for me!

Regarding Google Drive, keep

Regarding Google Drive, keep in mind that you will need to be online all the time and that it probably will lag sometimes so you won't be able to write even though you have internet access (happens to me a lot). Trust me on this one, I've written a lot of essays on it. Pros: it's free, saves EVERYTHING, easy to both learn and use. Overall I think it makes up for the crapiness, just wanted you to know about the issues I and many of my mates have had. Once again if it's not working it'll be rage inducing!

and if you are a fan of a clean and simple interface (regardless of which phone and UI you are using) give action launcher a try!

it is completely customizeable and after a while you will say to yourself: why didn't i use this before?  it is certainly true for me, instead of 4 homescreens, i now only have one Smile

Oskol, for Google Drive you

Oskol, for Google Drive you should use the Quick Office app from Google. It integrates with Drive, but it is also an offline editor. And a lot faster as well.

Yep, I've got it and think it's pretty good. Comes in handy for doing work stuff whilst on the move.

Is it possible to trick your

Is it possible to trick your phone to be rooted? I've got a certain application that needs to be rooted to uptain all features but i will NOT root my phone. Is it possible to trick your phone to be rooted to run an application? What are the pros and cons doing so, compared with real rooting? Also, do you know any applications that does this and is trustworthy?

That is not possible. At

That is not possible. At least not in a general solution, since every app has it's own way of checking root access (often by checking if they can execute the action they need root for). And even if you knew that, it would require root to block that part of the app.

I would recommend GO Launcher

I would recommend GO Launcher, used it on all android devices I ever had. (Now I use iPhone, with jailbreak and almost 200 tweaks. xD)
