Maybe a bit off Topic but Transistor is the best game I have played in the best 3 years or so and this is my favourite song from it's soundtrack. On a quick side note minor spoilers about the ending are in this song but in metaphor form so don't be swayed too much.

Poets of the Fall via Alan Wake's 'Old Gods of Asgard' is probably the band that most people listen to after playing the game due to the general storyline significance of the band including myself.
Garry Schyman's music is also a personal favourite of mine due to the beautiful crafted scores from the BioShock series. Not really a 'band' per say, but it did introduce me to a very gifted composer.
